Online/Offline Dating is Still Dating!

Dating has taken on a whole new dimension since the advent of Internet dating sites. Over the past 7 or 8 years Internet websites have exploded in their offerings to people who don’t want to leave their home in search Mr. or Ms. right.

In the “old” days people had to rely on traditional ways to meet. Some would go to nightclubs, some would join and participate in sponsored group events and some would rely on friends and family for an introduction…you know, the “blind date”. In reality all those methods still exist and can actually work well. However, in the fast paced, often solitary world many people find themselves in, the Internet provides a unique and affordable opportunity to meet new people. Despite this newer venue the principles of dating are pretty much the same.

Dating has always been and always will be a sorting process regardless of how the dates are gotten. A person needs to be prepared to meet many people on “dates” so as to have choices. If one has the right attitude and can manage his or her anxiety about feeling rejected, dating can be an enjoyable adventure rather than a nightmare... Please read on
