Most of us put things off at times. We may decide that completing a particular task is not what we’d like to do at the moment so we delay or procrastinate. When this happens occasionally we can often catch up later. However when procrastination is a pattern or characteristic of a person the issue becomes much more serious. 

Some people have chronic problems with putting things off. They find that they are often unable to complete tasks or get things done, even when those things are really important. They may appear to struggle to become more productive while, at the same time, sabotaging themselves by avoidance and delay.

Chronic procrastination can be the cause of career failures, relationship problems, high degrees of unnecessary stress, guilt and many missed opportunities.

In this month’s Newsletter I examine the issue of chronic procrastination and how to overcome it. It is a problem that is usually found just under the radar and can be misunderstood or even missed by friends and loved ones.
