June 27, 2007 Keeping An Open Mind

Most people in our society have heard of narcissism and some of us may even be accused of being narcissistic from time to time. In this month’s Newsletter I write about narcissism; in particular, Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Of course we all have some narcissism in us. Most of us are a little vain. We might even look admiringly at ourselves in a mirror or glance in a store window at our own reflection. It is a form of self love, a little of which is probably good for a person.

However, there is a world of difference between having some narcissistic traits and having Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). In the following articles I discuss NPD and describe the type of person who might even enter into a serious relationship with someone who has it.
